We’re looking for an Asset Management Coordinator to join our growing Asset Management team. You will support the Asset Management and Residential Services functions by leveraging administrative, research and analytics skills in support of CDP’s vision of resilient households within healthy, thriving communities and financially viable sustainable properties.

This is a hybrid position, working out of our Portland, OR office 3 days each week and reports to the Deputy Director of Asset Management. While we have a hybrid work model, your weekday may include site visits and/or attendance at out of office work related events.

Your role will include:
  • Conduct market research, analyze data, review and measure portfolio financial performance, household resiliency and community health.
  • Consolidate disparate data – financial and non-financial – from spreadsheets, internal and third-party systems to support the risk management and portfolio reporting requirements.
  • Monitor, manage and update data: Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to portfolio performance, maintain and update existing project databases, partner with the Deputy Director to implement more efficient reporting structures and tools, gather data, statistics, demographics and other information about affordable housing, portfolio performance, our residents and the communities we serve.
  • Review and analyze trends, identifying potential issues before they become problems and eventually making recommendations based on data and insight.
  • Prepare financial modeling and analysis using MS Excel, building charts and graphs to inform management decisions, present data and solutions across departments and other stakeholders.
  • Manage and execute all required and requested reporting, including: Preparing/assisting internal asset management reports, collecting and delivering timely external reports to and from 3rd parties, building impactful reports, dashboards, and visualizations as needed.
  • Ensure compliance by tracking and overseeing management company filings, including state, lender, and investor reporting, as well as tax exemptions by non-profit partners.
  • Support the Asset Management team on a variety of portfolio-scale projects, as well as administrative support for the Asset Management team as needed.
  • Additional duties and tasks as assigned.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (in English), allowing for clear and succinct communication in a variety of settings (phone, in-person and electronic), and with people of various backgrounds and levels, both internally and externally.
  • Thorough understanding of MS Office and Google Workspace, with intermediate knowledge of MS Excel, including the ability to create and utilize basic formulas.
  • Genuine curiosity and drive to understand how things work, how information flows, and how pieces of information fit together, with the willingness to ask questions and seek to understand.
  • Interest in, and comfort with, mathematics, numbers and analytics.
  • Technically savvy, with the ability to learn new skills and knowledge quickly. Ability to articulate financial analyses and recommendations in a clear, succinct and effective manner verbally, in writing, and through presentations, to peers and management.
  • A strong customer service focus, with dedication to meeting the expectations, needs and requirements of internal and external customers, successfully gaining their trust and respect.
  • The ability to work successfully both independently and with others, building professional and collaborative working relationships based on mutual trust and respect.
  • Strong planning and organizing skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while simultaneously adhering to deadlines.
  • Ability and availability to travel by air and/or to drive to visit CDP’s national portfolio, attend industry related events, and visit the Newport Beach, CA office. Travel is expected to be less than 10% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a real estate-specific data analytics role or Asset Management Administration role required.
  • Interest in mission-driven affordable housing and CDP’s commitment to mission-based goals.
  • Prior experience working with Microsoft Excel, effectively managing spreadsheets and data.
  • Working knowledge of Yardi, Real Page, MRI, Sales Force and other property and asset management software that support analytics, preferred.
